Things you shouldn’t do if you have acne

Almost 80 per cent of people from the age of 11 to 30 suffer from acne, so if you have acne too you are not alone. I know it can be stubborn and frustrating and it can seriously affect how you feel about yourself. But there are so many things you could do to keep it at bay but there are things that you shouldn’t do and some of those things are.

Sanitize the screen of your phone


If you don’t use earphones or headphones while talking on the phone then you should use them because your phone screen has God knows how much bacteria that gets transferred to your face and you don’t want that if you want to  keep your acne under control or sanitize your phone screen every now and then

2.       Change your pillowcase

Can you remember when was the last time you changed your bed sheets and pillowcase? No? Then you probably should change them right now. If you don’t have the habit of changing them then they are a possible reason for your breakouts because they have bacteria that can trigger acne on your face

3.        Wear sunscreen

If you use over the counter treatments for your acne then your skin probably is more sensitive then it was before because of some ingredients in them and direct sun rays can make the inflammation and redness worse, it can also cause hyperpigmentation and can darken the already existing scars so do wear a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to protect your skin

4.       Avoid super sugary foods and beverages

Foods with a glycemic index can serious affect to acne and can cause more breakouts so keep super-sugary food and beverages at bay, I know this one is tough but it is what it is

5.       Stop touching your face

You touch so many things during the day, if you are at work then your desk, laptops, and god know what else which has bacteria on their surfaces and they get on your face. Doesn’t it sound disgusting? So stop touching your face. This can be really difficult but you got to try.
